HSE Guidelines for Guillotines
At The Finishing Point Ltd we offer our unique customer care package with all of our electrically operated paper guillotines.
We do this not only to make ourselves unique but to cover our customers HSE requirements.
Many of our competitors do not have their own team of engineers and as a result cannot offer the care package or ensure your guillotine complies with everything that the HSE requires, this means that should an accident occur you are not covered and will be liable. This is a very important consideration when purchasing a new paper Guillotine.
As outlined in the HSE regulations book which I have attached as a link below, all powered guillotines require regular checks to ensure safe working operation. Just like an MOT on your car, a guillotine requires a health check, by law, every 6 months by a trained and certified guillotine engineer as well as daily checks by the trained and certified operator.
As a rule every operator of the guillotine should be trained and certified on install of a new machine. All safe working practice and daily checks are then carried out by these trained operatives with the power key only being available to these people.
These requirements are law and governed by the Health and Safety executive, I have attached a link below to their website for your perusal. This shows the level of service the machines require as well as the HSE certificate you should have completed every 6 months.
The Finishing Point Ltd include all this in our customer care package which means you can get on with the task of running your business knowing that if anything does ever go wrong you will be covered and have all the relevant paperwork to hand.
We also offer bespoke service solutions to older models to ensure these also comply with HSE requirements. Just call our office on 01925 418222.
