Paper Folding Machines (Digital Print)

A Folding Machine is a machine used primarily for the folding of paper. Paper can be folded with either a Buckle or a Knife, thus there are generally 3 types of folding machines: Buckle Folders, Knife Folders or a combination of these two types.

Whilst Buckle Folding is the more popular of the two methods, Knife folding is sometimes the preferable and fast becoming necessity due to the weights of stocks now being used with digital print engines and in particular in the Greeting Card industries. Folding machines vary in levels of sophistication, with high end machines capable of processing more complex folding jobs and unusual paper forms, in terms of denisty and size.

Organisations required to undertake mass mail out campaigns often employ folding machines to improve efficiency. Some of the most popular folders used by printing companies and book binderies are MBO, Stahl, Multigraf, Eurofold, GUK and Horizon. The more popular models used by Digital Print Companies, Copy Shops, Universities, small to medium Print Companies and the Education markets are the Duplo, Ideal, Uchida, Eurofold and the latest Multigraf CF and CP375 Models supplied by The Finishing Point Ltd.
